Now the family understands all of the strange occurrences that have been happening but that is nothing compared to the terror that is right in front of them. At the final séance, everyone was found dead, except the owner's son who disappeared. After some research they discover that the home was actually a funeral parlor at one time and the previous owner's son held séances. While looking through the house, they find a lockbox with photographs of the deceased. The whole family soon starts to experience bizarre occurrences such as seeing apparitions, electrical malfunctions and disturbing behavior. He immediately starts having hallucinations of corpses and deaths. Matt decides to stay in the basement because he would have privacy and the rooms in the basement were much bigger. Within the next day Matt's father, brother and two cousins join them in their new home. Matthew becomes ill while they are talking, so they decide to stay there for the night. She stops and speaks with the man who is willing to sell or rent out the home.
As Matthew's mother is driving him back home from the hospital, she spots a man putting a sign up in front of a beautiful Victorian home. The long drive to and from the hospital is stressful, so his mother and father discuss moving to upstate Connecticut to be closer to the hospital. This movie is set in 1987, and young Matthew Campbell is undergoing treatment for cancer.

The Haunting in Connecticut is a psychological horror that was directed by Peter Cornwell, produced by Paul Brooks and distributed by Lionsgate Home Entertainment.
